The ingredient that give this drink its pretty pink color comes from beet root powder. Okay, you think, beets in a drink? Trust us when we say that we love putting beets into pretty much anything we can. Jazzing up a drink with this gorgeous hue is easy and completely natural. You can make your own beet root powder at home if you have the patience to dehydrate some beets and grind them up into a superfine powder. If not, you can find beetroot powder at your local natural market or Amazon.

Not only do beets have the ability to turn any drink into a gorgeous masterpiece, they also carry some amazing health benefits. From nutrient density to fighting inflammation, these red gems pack a powerful punch on the nutrition scale.

Next up is ashwagandha. A member of the nightshade family, this ancient herbal remedy for stress and anxiety can help to focus the brain. Studies have shown that ashwagandha can help reduce cortisol levels, aka the “stress hormone”.

The combination of almond milk and cherry juice creates a beautiful blend of flavors in this tea that compliments the rose bud and additional spices. You can feel free to omit the rose buds if you don’t like your tea quite as floral. However, we think that the garnish on top adds a great subtle flavor to the pink moon milk tea.

Pink Moon Milk Tea with Teapot


A nighttime tea drink meant to help calm and relax.


  • 1 Cup Almond milk
  • 1/4 Cup Cherry juice
  • 1 tsp Beet root powder
  • 2 tsp Maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
  • Splash of Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Dried rose buds


  1. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients together. Whisk vigorously over medium high heat until pink moon milk reaches desired temperature.
  2. Pour into tea pot and pour over tea strainer. Garnish with additional rose buds if desired.
  3. Drink and sleep soundly.
